By the pricking of my thumbs

Readers,

Something wicked this way comes…

I make it no secret that Autumn is my favorite season.  I measure the year from my Birthday to Saint Patrick’s day as the good part of the year, and the rest being a dog’s dinner, to be endured like a surgical procedure. There is so very much to love. It is the part of the year that sustains me, and feeds a life long romance with the magic of the harvest, the fear of the unknown, and the nostalgia of childhood.

It should come as no surprise that we adore Jack O’ Lanterns around these parts. As you have seen in past years, 2011, and here 2010.  Here is this year’s squash abuse.  I am rather fond of the demented looking one.  That is mine.  We are well suited to each other.

It is no surprise things like this are playing nonstop in my head:

Or this:

Yes, it is true. I am completely a geek for Halloween and this time of the year.

I would like to deny it, but I can’t, I am wallowing in it, covered in pumpkin guts and cinnamon.

I could stop ANY TIME I wanted.

I just don’t want to.
